The 19th Budapest International Book Festival will be organised on 19th to 22nd of April at the Millenáris Park. This year’s special guests are the Nordic countries.
The program series of the Nordic countries will be organised by the cooperation of Finnagora, the Embassy of Sweden, the Royal Norwegian Embassy, the Danish Cultural Institute and the Royal Danish Embassy. Well-known and acknowledged writers will arrive from these countries to the Book Festival.
From Finland we will host Leena Lehtolainen, Seita Parkkola, Timo Parvela and Satu Taskinen, who will take part in the First Novelist’s Festival organised as part of the general program. More than attracting exciting international guests, organisers have prepared a wide range of colourful and exciting programs for the visitors of the Festival. There will be music sessions, exhibitions and of course discussions with the authors.
Nordic countries will be present also at the Titanic Filmfesztivál (13th-21st of April), where viewers might get a taste of the movie scene of these countries. The detailed program of the Book Festival will soon be available at Finnagora's website, Finnagora’s Facebook site, and also from the sites of the XIX. Budapesti Nemzetközi Könyvfesztivál and the Titanic Filmfesztivál.
