Finnish conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste leads the Budapest Festival Orchestra 28.4

Bruckner’s dark and apocalyptic 8th symphony is performed by the Budapest Festival Orchestra 28.4 at 19.45 p.m. under the baton of Finnish conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste. The venue for the performance is Bela Bartok National Concert Hall.

Pro Finlandia Prize-winning Jukka-Pekka Saraste is an internationally acclaimed conductor known for extraordinary musical depth and integrity.  Saraste is the Chief Conductor of the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Cologne. Saraste is especially fond of late Romantic music but he also has a strong connection with contemporary music. Furthermore, Saraste is a co-founder of the Avanti! Chamber Orchestra.
